How Do Bees Tell Each Other Where Flowers Are?

When a honeybee finds a good patch of flowers, it flies home and does a little dance called the waggle dance. The way it wiggles and the direction it points tell the other bees which way to fly and how far. Long ago a scientist named Karl von Frisch figured this out by carefully watching bees and moving their food to new spots to see how the dance changed.
