How Do Birds Fly?

Birds can fly because their bodies are built for it. Their bones are , which makes them very light. Their feathers are shaped to push air downward, which lifts them up. A bird flaps its wings to get moving, and then it can on the wind. Some birds, like the albatross, can fly for hours without flapping at all!
