Do Fish Sleep?

Fish do not close their eyes to sleep because they do not have eyelids. But they do rest! Scientists have observed that many fish slow down, stay in one place, and breathe more slowly when they rest. Some fish even float near the bottom of the water. Their brains become less active, just like ours do when we sleep.
